Thea Mai Baumann is a media artist, curator, and producer. Her curatorial interests are informed by nomadic forms of curatorship and cross-cultural exchange.
She has worked as Special Projects Coordinator for MAAP: Multimedia Art Asia Pacific, and was a recipient of an EPIC : Emerging Producer in Community Initiative awarded by the Australia Council for the Arts in 2005, and in 2006.
In 2007, she was awarded an Asialink arts management residency and a Brisbane Lord Mayor Fellowship to research and coordinate multi-arts exhibition programmes and initiatives in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam which resulted in The Last Vestige exhibition programme.
Thea currently lives and works in Beijing, China.
